Itineraries
Day 1
Sibiu town-Sibiel village-Gastronomy
08:30-11:00 ( 177 km) Departure from Cluj-Napoca at 08:30, arrival at Sibiu at 11:00. 11:00-12:30 Visit Astra Open Air Museum for 1:30 hours. 13:00-14:30 ( 8 km) Transfer to the center of the city.Lunch in Sibiu. 14:30-16:00 Guided tour of the city for 1:30 hours. Like Sighisoara and Brasov, Sibiu talks in everyway about its Germanic roots. Medieval walls, narrow streets, colorful houses, the Roman – Catholic Church, the Council Tower, imposing city walls, the Great Square, all of these bearing with them the imprint of the distant 12 th century…..In fact, the entire Transylvania is a huge material and spiritual treasure, fruit of the multicultural meeting between several ethnic groups. Romanians, Germans,Hungarians, Saxons all together, bringing to this teritory their own mark and traditions. 16:30-17:30 ( 19 km) Transfer to Sibiel in 24 minutes and visit until 17:30. Sibiel, with a story shrouded in mystery, SIBIEL village elders talk about giants, hidden treasures and other things…but maybe every place in Romania and not only has its own tails….But let s touch and see a reality full of beautiful landscapes, typical Saxon houses, good and simple people, ancient customs and various religious rituals.We will visit here the Museum of the Icons on Glass,the largest existing exposition of icons on glass in Transylvania. Each icon opens up a whole world of Christian meanings and symbols. 17:30-19:40 ( 159 km) Departure from Sibiel, arrival in Cluj at 19:40-transportation in A/C minibus
