Day 1
Sighisoara-Fortified Church Biertan-Gastronomy
08:30-11:10 ( 155 km) Departure from Cluj-Napoca at 08:30, arrival at Sighisoara at 11:10. 11:50-13:15 City Tour Sighisoara for 2 hours. Sighisoara is more than a city, is a piece of history miraculously suspended in time. And yes, it is true, you are visiting a real city of our times and not a film set. Built in the 12th century by saxon settlers, Sighisoara remains a symbol of Transylvania, that mysterious Transylvania that is talked about so much but actually so little known. The Europe's last remaining inhabitedmedieval citadel has treasures to be discovered.The Clock Tower, the Covered Stairway, the Church on theHill, the birthplace of legendary Dracula are some of the unforgettable gifts that Sighisoara has to offer. 13:30-15:00 Lunch in Sighisoara then transfer to Biertan( 30 km). 15:45-16:45 Guided tour of the city Biertan for 1 hour. We remain in the medieval atmosphere arriving at Biertan….where the fortified Lutheran church is a world in itself. In the whole Transylvania there are more than 150 well preserved fortified churches but one of the most beautiful is the one we will see here. And everything is immersed in an atmosphere that leads us centuries ago. If we are going to “taste” the touristic wonders of Transylvania get ready to taste its gastronomic wonders, the fruit of the meeting of several culinary traditions. 16:45-19:30 ( 147 km) Departure from Biertan, arrival in Cluj at 19:30.-transportation in A/C minibus
